Help Prevent The Dreaded Summer Slide This Summer
 

What is the summer slide? A "summer slide” is when students lose some of their achievement gains made during the previous school year. This is a very common occurrence but does not have to be your child's reality.

The Virtual Classroom is excited to announce new low-cost, small-group courses for summer 2023. These courses will allow students to continue their literacy gains throughout the summer months. Students will be placed in a small group with 2-5 other students who have similar reading goals. Students will collaborate with peers during live tutoring sessions and have the option of supplemental resources between sessions.

Important Dates:

Registration May 1st-May 31st

Families who sign a contract prior to May 19th save 20%

Courses will run June 12th-August 18
*No classes on July 4th
*No classes for the week of July 17th-21st

Additional Information:
Classes meet 3 times per week Monday-Friday

Classes run 35-60 minutes depending on the age of students and the number of students per group

Note: Kindergarten readiness classes run 20-35 minutes in length

A confirmed schedule will not be finalized until diagnostic testing is completed and groups are formed based on student goals and availability
